Vidova Gora \u2013 the highest island peak on the Adriatic<\/strong><\/p>\n

At 778 meters above sea level, Vidova Gora offers one of the most beautiful views in Croatia. Located above Bol, it is easily accessible by an asphalt road, but also by hiking trails that reward you with every meter of ascent.<\/p>\n

From the top, a spectacular view opens onto Zlatni Rat, the famous pebble cape that changes its shape depending on the wind. On clear days, you can see numerous Dalmatian islands, including Hvar, Vis, and Pelje\u0161ac. Whether you arrive by car or on foot, this panoramic experience will remain etched in your memory.<\/p>\n

Trail 768 Bol \u2013 Vidova Gora \u2013 Bol<\/strong><\/p>\n

The trail leads from the center of Bol westward, along the promenade by the famous Zlatni Rat beach, then up a gently sloping asphalt road to the village of Murvica, 5 km away. After Murvica begins a 5 km long gravel path that passes through vineyards with minor ascents and descents. Near Smr\u010deva Luka bay, the gravel path climbs steeply to the turnoff for Vela Farska bay, where it becomes an asphalt road, followed by a 6 km ascent to the Vela Visoka ridge. At Vela Visoka ridge we turn right to the east, and after about 4 km on a gravel path we reach the asphalt road. Turning right (south), the route continues with an ascent of about 3 km through a pine forest up to Vidova Gora and its famous viewpoint. Vidova Gora is the highest peak on the island of Bra\u010d at 778 m, and also the highest peak of all Croatian islands. <\/p>\n

On the descent we remain on the asphalt road until the point where we initially entered (3 km). There we turn right (east) onto a 5 km long gravel path that leads past Duboki Dolac and Trolokve to the asphalt road, which after 14 km (mostly downhill) brings us back to Bol.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
